Econs was my final paper today....after tons of other grueling subjects - Law, English, Math, Acc.. I survived! =)

Chill la..its after exams, we all have 2 weeks to enjoy before all the screwing starts, so better enjoy every second of it.. Guess I was the only one feeling happy that exams are finally over?
Mid terms for me, overall was okay, except the fact that accounts actually killed me a lil, wait...make that alot.. I guess, accounts ain't really my thing =)


Watched Pirates of The Caribbean 3 today, was a nice movie overall...

So went movies with JienHoong, Dinesh, LayAi, LiLian, Patrick, Emily and Evelyn... sat right behind, kinda bad actually, 'cos of a bunch of small kids running up and down making dem alot of noise.. bloody rascals... even though they disrupt my movie =) they're still cute anyway...and thats why they rawk =p
after the movie went for a very late lunch, round 5, since I actually skipped lunch for that 3 hour movie...
waaait...heres something I like to share with you all..

In yesterday's news...

Books to benefit students, photocopy man tells court

PETALING JAYA: A photocopy shop operator who got into trouble after 55 photocopies of college textbooks were found in his shop said the books were meant to benefit students.

Admitting to copyright infringement in the Sessions Court here, the man said in mitigation that there was not much profit from the sale of photocopied books.

“The books were for the benefit of students,” said 41-year-old Thin Wei Hang after pleading guilty to having the copies of textbooks at his shop in Subang Jaya at 1.12pm on Aug 4, 2003.

He was charged under Section 41(1)(d) of the Copyright Act 1987, which makes it an offence for anyone to possess any infringing copy other than for private and domestic use.

Among the titles of copies in Thin's possession were AS Level & A Level Business Studies, Biology 2 and a series of Advance Level Mathematics textbooks, the copyright of which are held by Cambridge University Press.

The court was told how an enforcement team from the state Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Department had found the copies in the shop after receiving a tip-off earlier.

Muhamad Aizudin Mohd Said, the prosecuting officer from the ministry, asked the court to impose a fitting sentence on the accused.

Judge Nurmala Salim fined Thin RM300 for each infringing copy.

Thin paid the RM16,500 fine.

The recent Maybank controversy which requires law firms to have BUMIPUTRA partners which one of whom have to have at least 50% stake before being able to do business with the bank says it all. How the (insert-vulgarity-here) do they come up with these proposals? Even though the problem is being settled, it still amazes me on how these directors can actually come up with all this bullshyt, saying that having bumiputra partners will ensure growth of our country - #$!@#!!! THIS IS PURE DISCRIMINATION.


This is another issue...


TAYLOR'S college is pledging RM2 MILLION scholarships to bumiputra students. I have nothing wrong with that. But right below this article, TAYLOR'S college is offering a mere few hundred thousand to indian students. MILLIONS compared to thousands..whats with that?!? The last time I checked.. the number of indian students compared to bumiputra students are the same in TAYLOR's College, if i'm not mistaken, indian students actually are higher in number. SO why can't they have 2 Million too!?!?

at least, now, I'm finally done, passed up my esl assignment yesterday...
a bit of burden of my shoulders...for now...

So tomorrow we're having a teacher's day celebration at Taylor's University College..
Classes as usual from the morning till 10...
then its party till 1...
then class resumes after that...sucks right =p
can't they just give us the whole day off..

Anyway, the party was all last minute planning, all it took for the wacky class of L3 to plan a party was less than 5min... All there was to be decided - How many pizzas are we ordering? Initially it was 20 pizzas then cut down to 14....and I still say that ain't enough =P

So during the weekend, went to 1u to watch movie with Nicholas, Chin Wei, Darren, Carynn and Grace.....am I missing anyone? KarYan had to go back early...to sleep.. T.T why laa~~

All I can say is, the story line of the movie was great, certain parts were really UNEXPECTED!
really...UNEXPECTED..but for some, including me, the horror lasted too long.

I'll admit, I'm not a big fan of horror movies, find it a total waste of time spending money on movies just to scare the hell out of yourself.

I'll admit once more, at least half the time, me and Grace were spending time talking to each other instead of watching the big screen.
THE MOVIE IS SCARY OKAY!!! but i've seen worst =)

The woman behind me was taking her road test...Guessed she panicked, and instead of turning, she ram straight into my car ... The front bumper of the car came down...
It wasn't some normal kiss on the back of your car, it was a hard knock which actually made my car traveled quite a distance to the front ( even with handbrake pulled and breaks jammed ).

An instructor from the centre came running..Hands swinging in the air, gesturing at the tester seated in the car..
" Eh! JPJ tester tak tau guna brek ar?! Buat ape di kereta? Tidur ke? "

So...the woman failed straight...
what a way to kick off the start of my exam...

Next, was the road test...
waited another 3-4 hours before my number was actually called...
got a real friendly lady tester..
went in the car... and the song played on radio..

The nice thing was the lady tester didn't mind me singing at all =)

Finally a day in a week which I can actually take a break, away with all college works and assignments, my self declared holiday night - Friday.

But....
I actually have to go back to college tomorrow. Extra classes for law and economics. The worst part is... it isn't you're usual 1-2 hours extra class, its from 9am till 2.30! Anyway, today had my law presentation. I think I kinda did okay.. Everyone else did too =) After college, met up with a couple of my secondary mates - Lyn, KarYan, WaiCheen. Then I was off to futsal. Being a total noob in futsal ( I was never good at football either ), I ran...kicked...saved...every action I did blindly...Overall not a bad game laa.. and Terrence! Peter! learn to chill la..just a game =) Enuf of futsal..

Whens the day you guys decide to play basketball? At least then I would know what I'm doing =)

And whaddya know... I manage to LAY OFF pool for 1 day! I actually manage to pull it off!! I should really give myself a pat on the back!

I'm finished with my 2nd econs common test...
Guess it was alright.. though my hands were kinda numb throughout the entire exam session, snowing in the Multi Purpose Hall. Lets just hope it all went well....well enough for me to score an A.

Anyway, after "days"/weeks of absence from LAN studies, I decided to attend the lecture today...Why? My LAN lecturer issued an ultimatum last week, I shall quote...

" If this guy, Chaaaaaan.......Jian.....Ho ( its HAO dammit! ) is absence for a few more times, I'm gonna bar him from exams! " Mr Arioomnamasivaya.

" Indirectly, his implying that you don't need to go to his class anymore. " Jean Yi

" HUH! " lost as usual...

As soon as I stepped into Lecture Theater 2, Mr Ari gave me that stare....

" I hope to see you next semester " - Mr Ari...any hidden meaning? I wonder...

So I finally found out how many LAN lectures I was missing, a total of 12 EXCLUDING the first two months when he never takes attendance...

For this, I had to thank my partner in crime, Jien Hoong, a total of 12 for him too...

~Our luck had finally run out, we were caught in a dead end, trapped with no where else to go...
We were both put behind bars...



And so...it was finally time for the duo to retire, once and for all, (( at least for now....or until LAN exams pass, after that I can't guarantee anything.... )). Here we come LAN studies!!

Today, I've been appointed as leader of my study group for Legal Studies! @#$!!@#@$ The worst part is, you actually have to hold a study session at least once a week and report your progress at the end of each week to the lecturer... THANKS a bunch Mrs Loo @#!!# whatever it is you're still the best lecturer! Maybe this is a calling? Saying that I should skip LAN studies more often =)

Moving on...
I had econs presentation in the afternoon, so my group decided to practice on a stage to help those overcome stage fright.

1st attempt....

Too bad the whole thing wasn't recorded...
So out of nowhere, we had a name for our group - rainbow =.="

Aneeeewaaaayyyyy, 2nd attempt wasn't so bad, everyone seemed to be able to present well.....and we did during the actual presentation. All though I only used 3 out of the 5 min given, the shortest presentation so far! I HAVE NOTHING ELSE TO TALK ABOUT!!

Maths was......indescribable as always. At least for half of the whole lecture, I was in dreamland, up and down my head went, opening my eyes everytime Mrs Doh raise her voice... and at some point, Dinesh thought I was high on drugs or something =.=' Wheres the Nescafe truck when you needed one!

the 2 NOOBS in FOOSBALL beat the 2 NOT-So-NOOB
yes you heard it right, the 2 pool players beat the 2 REGULAR foosball players
yup!!
DINESH and JIAN won Jien Hoong and Peter in foosball!!
with the final score of 5-3 in a FAIR match!
