So it was the early morning of july 25th...
all of us gathered at Melbourne Central to wait for the bus..
departed at 1.30am..
to Falls Creek!

forced myself to sleep...
but with the excitement building up...
how could I..

around 4am..
we stopped by McDonalds for breakfast..

ahh yess...
the Sausage McMuffin...with coffee and hashbrown..
perfect combination =)

back on bus...
im still wide awake...
and think the only one...

and at around 7am...
it was my first encounter with the snow...

after placing our luggages and all...

my bro and his gf, serena

its was finally time for snowboarding...
grabbed our board and equipments...
and headed up...

and yes...the sun was glaring..

up to the lands where no man had ventured before...
to a place where no man ever returned alive..
we said our prayers as we head up...
a place where the fearsome behemoth lived...

okay...okay...
we just headed up to the peak of the mountains...
the place where even lil kids go...
the place where everyone comes back alive..

can't blame me for exaggerating a lil right..
its my first time seeing snow!
and actually feeling it!

and our snowboarding lessons began...

in the midst of lessons..

sure...
I had my falls..
few hours of falling on ur ass...ur elbows...
and u'll eventually learn...
so yea...i got the hang of it later in the day..
and if u've done skiing...dont think boarding would be any easier..
two completely different sport..

and yes!
skiing is easier cause you have more control over ur legs..
boarding is more fun though =p

once it hit 5, 6 pm..
we were dead tired..

but instead of taking the chairlift down...
we decided its time to conquer our very first slope..

green being the easiest...
follow by blue...
and then black being the hardest..

well..for my bro it was easy...
hes been boarding since last year...
and that exchange trip to canada made him better...
so yea...
he boards a bit...
and then stops and wait for us in front...

we took about 1 hour just to reach the bottom..
and for the regulars??
it takes them only 15 to 20 minutes...

dinner was....dissappointing =p
we were hoping to find a nice restaurant..
but everything seems to close really early for a vacation spot..

so in the end...
dinner for us was..

2 loafs of bread...

nutella...

peanut butter...

coffee...

and the classic...
instant cup noodles..

slept 1 hour later...
after the excitement within me died down a lil...

the next few days we were boarding like pros.....

another few more years and yea...
we will be =)

i kinda enjoyed gettin whacked by snowballs..
its fun since its my first time...

it snowed again on the 3rd day...
and...
i finally notice...
what snowflakes look like..
i thought it was only in the movies...
or just plain animations...
that made them star-shaped..
but...
i was wrong...

Anwar to be charged with sodomy as police wrap up probe

KUALA LUMPUR, July 29 — The police have completed their investigations into sodomy allegations against Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and are going to charge the opposition icon soon for sodomising his accuser Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan.

Anwar has claimed that he is a victim of a political conspiracy and has refused to give a blood sample for DNA tests, saying that it could be used to fabricate evidence against him.

Waving the leaked medical report today, Anwar called on the police to drop the case, saying it was proof there was a plot to implicate him in a repeat of the 1998 case.

"How else can we fathom why the police during the last four weeks of their 'thorough and professional investigations' have overlooked such a critical piece of evidence?

Home Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar said police will not cease investigations into the allegations against the former deputy prime minister despite a leaked medical report that states Saiful has no medical evidence of sodomy. The former male aide to Anwar lodged a police report on June 28, alleging that he had been sodomised by Anwar in a condominium on June 26.

"This is just one aspect of the investigations. The police are piecing together evidence, let them do their job and complete their investigations," Syed Hamid said. "As it is, they haven't charged Anwar with anything yet," he added.

The Malaysia Today news portal yesterday revealed a medical report dated June 28 that indicated the lack of evidence of anal intercourse, with its editor Raja Petra Kamarudin also claiming that the examining doctor, Dr Mohamed Osman Abdul Hamid, had gone into hiding because the police had attempted to have him change his medical report to implicate Anwar.

Actually, I did not know why we were going to see Najib. Saiful just said that he wanted to go and see Najib and he wanted me to follow him. So I followed him.

I am now facing one sedition charge and three criminal defamation charges. They say Muslims are allowed four and I have just reached my limit of four. Nevertheless, my great-grandfather, Sultan Ala’eddin Suleiman Shah, the Fifth Sultan of Selangor, had ten wives. He also had 44 children from these ten wives, my grandmother, Tengku Badariah, being one of those 44. Needless to say, with the track record set by my great-grandfather, would I be satisfied with stopping at just four? Certainly not! And, today, I am going to chalk up my fifth ‘criminal charge’, whatever that charge is going to be.

Today, in the spirit of my fifth criminal charge, I am going to make another ‘seditious’ or ‘criminal defamation’ allegation against Deputy Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak, in the spirit of what Anwar Ibrahim said to CNN last week. And this allegation is that Najib met Saiful to discuss the sodomy allegation against Anwar and for no other reason other than that -- and certainly not to discuss the young man’s future career or scholarship.

This time I am going for broke.

This time I am prepared to go to jail for a long, long time

just to make sure that
Najib is not going to become Prime Minister of Malaysia in June 2010.

Yes, I know I am headed for a fall, but I am going to bring Najib down with me. We shall both hit the dirt and become history, side-by-side.

And how will that happen? Well, this time I video-recorded a ‘confession’ session. And the video recording is now in a safe place, ready to surface during my trial when they charge me for this newest ‘crime’, whatever that crime is going to be.

The gist is as follows. When Saiful went to meet Najib, he brought a friend along. And this friend has confessed to the entire thing in a video recording, which I now have in my possession. So bring it on. Give me all you’ve got. Charge me and let us see what happens in court.

Yes, Najib met Saiful to discuss how to fix Anwar on a sodomy allegation. No doubt, at first Najib denied all this. At first he said he never met Saiful, not even once in his life. Then he admitted meeting Saiful but said he met Saiful to offer the young man ‘career guidance’ and to discuss his future, scholarship, and all such matters. The first statement was a lie. The second was also a lie. Najib met Saiful to discuss the sodomy allegation against Anwar.

If Najib can lie so many times with regards to his meeting with Saiful, would he not also be capable of lying about never meeting or knowing Altantuya? What would Najib say if during my trial I adduce a military intelligence report dated when Altantuya was still alive which confirms that he was involved romantically (or ‘involved sexually’ would probably be the more appropriate word to use) with Altantuya?

Sure, charge me. Put me on trial. Even obtain a conviction and send me to jail if you wish. Hey, I am 58. By the time I go to jail I would probably be 60, if I happen to still be around and not already dead by then. So, you can send me to jail, but for how long? What difference does it make when I am no longer alive anyway? And I really don’t expect to live to a ripe old age of 83 like Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad. Najib, however, will never become Prime Minister in June 2010.

And that is worth going to jail for,
however long the sentence may be.

finally got to try a buffet dim sum last month...

KUALA LUMPUR: Private investigator P. Balasubramaniam, who disappeared with his wife and three children last Friday, has been located.

Sources said police here with the help of Interpol traced his whereabouts to an Asean country but declined to name it or say when he would be brought back.

CID Director Comm Datuk Mohd Bakri Zinin confirmed this but declined to reveal details.

It is learnt that the private investigator is fine and left the country on his own accord, contrary to reports and rumours that police were behind his sudden disappearance.

Last Thursday, Balasubramaniam rocked the nation with a statutory declaration alleging that Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak had an affair with murdered Mongolian Altantuya Shaariibuu. He was then represented by lawyer Americk Singh Sidhu.

However, in a press conference called less than 24 hours later, he made a second statutory declaration retracting all those allegations. He even appeared with a new lawyer.

Immediately after the press conference, he left with that lawyer and was never seen or heard by anyone.

His nephew and his original team of lawyers lodged police reports over his disappearance as well as his sudden decision to retract his first statutory declaration.

During a candlelight vigil in Brickfields here last night, R. Kumaresan said his uncle had contacted him on the phone saying that he and his family were safe but would not reveal his whereabouts.

“My uncle called me at 11.30pm on Monday and told me that he was okay and passed the phone to my auntie who also said they were fine.

“But when I repeatedly asked them where they were, my uncle told me that they could not talk freely and ended the call,” he said.

Mohd Saiful, a student leader at a local university and Anwar's special assistant during the March general election, made a police report that he was sodomised by Anwar last Thursday.

Asked if she was implying that Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak was behind the allegation, Dr Wan Azizah said it was just speculation.

“I mean, the picture is (was taken) at the Deputy Prime Minister's office. That's it,” she said.

Asked whether the allegation was another political conspiracy against Anwar, similar to the one in 1998, she said: “Very much so. This is a second conspiracy, a political murder that has been committed against my husband. An attempted murder politically.”

On whether the allegation had any relevance to the allegation linking Najib to Mongolian Altantuya Shaariibuu's murder, she said: “You can link it because it's another diversion from the issues we are facing in our country. This is a political diversion.”

Dr Wan Azizah, however, could not tell when the pictures were taken and did not disclose who forwarded them to her handphone.

Asked why Anwar was not present at the press conference, Dr Wan Azizah said he received a death threat a few weeks ago.

“He is in a safe place to protect him from danger. We have reason to believe that Anwar's safety is at risk. We received death threats. We were given the advice to take care of Anwar's life,” she said.

On whether Anwar would lodge a police report on the death threats, she said they would discuss the matter with the lawyers.

“We have to protect ourselves at the moment. A lot of Malaysians seek his leadership. Therefore, we have to protect him not only because he is my husband but also because he's the leader of our country,” Wan Azizah said.

Back on the trip in March, during one of the 12 hours plus train rides we endured between the cities we made our stops, talking was the most logical way for us to spend our surplus time, and if you've ever travelled with anyone for any length of time, you'd find yourself spontaneously loosening up before too long - even if you weren't very close to them to begin with. You want to get to know a person beneath the obvious? Invite them along on your vacation, get trapped with them for a whole day in a moving train carriage and prod a little. Every human being, I find, is a full bag waiting to spill. Everybody wants to be heard.

One recurrent conversational topic was about love and relationships, something we all can identify with (regardless of whether we have it or we don't). Somehow after a few hours, the topic morphed into one centering on virginity and what each of us thought of it. Unsurprisingly, views were schismatic - and are basically polarized into two camps. One is for it, and the other thinks that it's better to be done and over with.

One guy thinks that virginity is paramount and said that he will only marry a virgin - or to put it in his own words; "I like my presents unopened." I won't bother listing out his reasons and arguments here because (1) I am sure everyone knows what they are, and (2) I won't be able to reiterate them with much conviction because I - well, I have a differing opinion on the subject. So I'll only talk about what I think.

I think virginity is bothersome, pointless and meaningless.

I was a bit surprised by myself when I said those words in that train carriage chug-chugging in the evening through the Indian countryside because prior to that moment, my vocal views on virginity were one of conservative conformation. I'm Asian. Sex outside of wedlock is evil and immoral. Blah and blah and blah. It's funny how one's mind can change so drastically without one noticing until that mind starts speaking again.

I remember a friend, a girl, told me that she lost her virginity to her boyfriend, after holding out and denying it for many, many years to all her previous boyfriends. What she said about that was this,

"I used to think that virginity is something very, very precious, and must be protected no matter what until the day I get married. It's only after I lost it that I see just how worthless it is."

Those words rattled in my head a lot till it came as a sudden revelation to me that virginity is (or will be) just like my sixteenth birthday. I don't know why it was significant but everyone seems to think it is in some ineffable way. No one seems to give much thought to all the other teen years. Why not fourteen or fifteen or seventeen? Why bloody sixteen? I remember looking forward to my own sixteenth birthday, being all excited and anticipatory of some magical transformation of my sixteen years old person or some secret knowledge which would be telepathically telegraphed into my sixteen years old mind - or something! I don't know what. No one ever specified that. And when my sixteenth birthday finally came for real, I felt just the same as I was before I was sixteen. Nothing changed the least bit at all.

Like what I said in that train carriage about virginity that evening,

"Virginity is a lot like a person's sixteenth birthday. It seems like a big deal before you reach it. But once you're there... Meh."

I think that the concept of virginity - especially of female virginity - is terribly unjust. It is used as a standard marker of a girl's virtuosity or purity. If an unmarried woman is virgin, she's clean, good and loved by God but if she's not, she's some promiscuous skank who is dirty and used. I find that that standard leaves much to be desired. Say if a virginal girl is raped, what does it say about her morals? Is she still virtuous or pure? A lot of people would say that her virtuosity is unsullied because she never had sex till it was forced upon her, but is no longer pure because she had been violated. I find that incredibly insensitive and degrading, and this is precisely the sort of thinking that puts so many stigmas on the women who have undergone such a horrifying experience - as if they haven't been punished enough just for being a victim.

Some would even consider a virgin who was raped to be neither virtuous nor pure! No shit! They still stone rape victims to death in some parts of the world.

Anyhow, I agree that rape really have no bearing on this discussion, but it does reflect a bit of just how most people view women, including the women themselves.

Discounting that, what about those who have willingly given up their virginity premaritally to a person they thought they love or used to love? Can we consider them to be promiscuous or loose (no puns intended)? Again, most guys do. I used to be just like that. I used to like my "presents" unopened too. I used to think that girls who gave up or would give up their virginity before marriage are sluts. It isn't until recently that I started to realise that if a person have truly loved a girl before, he would never ever think of her as a "present" - an object, a thing. I think all guys are guilty of this, at least for some part of their lives. Anytime the loss of virginity is mentioned in the same sentence as "dirty" or "used"; that's objectification in action. That's a failure to see a woman as a real living, breathing person - one who is capable of making mistakes at some point in their past.

Heck, I don't think I even consider that a "mistake" on the women's part. A woman's body should be her own and however she wishes to express her love and that shouldn't have any bearing at all on any relationships she gets into afterwards. A lot of guys will disagree with me, with variations of the same old chauvinistic arguments which demean women. I believe I am above that now. In case anyone starts running with scissors with just a gist of what I'm aiming to impart here, I would like to say that I'm not preaching promiscuity or infidelity here. I believe that wanton or unprotected sex with multiple partners is bad and I advocate sticking with the one you love as long as you can. All I'm saying is that virginity need not be such a big damn deal.

So in summary, let me just say that I don't give a fuck whether the person I'm marrying next time is a virgin or not. But if she is - well, more power to her!

P.S. On a related note, some guys think that it is their prerogative to control what their girlfriends wear on the pretext that it's to "protect" her. To a certain extent, it can be true but the tales I heard of some guys going as far as to only let their girlfriends wear formless T-shirts and pants - that's just another form of reducing a girl to the level of property. I think it's perfectly fine for a guy to dislike their girlfriend dressing in revealing clothes, but he ought not to think that he has the right to prevent her from doing it. Or as a wise person (me) always says, "Just let her wear the clothes she likes now, before she's too old to wear them."

P.P.S. There's this T-shirt quote I read once that goes, "Virginity is a disease, and I'm the doctor."

its unfair to classify a lady

or being labeled someone who has lost her virginity.

i believe, and i hope most of you do,

VIRGINITY is something which can't be lost...
can't be taken away...
VIRGINITY is something which only can be given...
and can only be given,
once..

to me,

during the major final exams..
usually you'll get 1 or maybe 2 absentees..

you turn left...you see a few empty seats...
turn right you see a few...
turn behind...you see alot..
several exam subjects are not hurdle exams..
means..
you won't fail your course even if you fail your exams..

somehow the exam atmosphere here differs...
sometimes...few minutes into the exams...
you hear a student shout " f**k! " a few times...

we don't have that back home do we..

we really don't ..its amazing...

McDonald's, others stop serving, selling raw tomatoes over concerns about salmonella

CHICAGO (AP) - McDonald's, Wal-Mart and other U.S. chains have halted sales of some raw tomatoes as federal health officials work to trace the source of a multistate salmonella food poisoning outbreak.

Burger King, Outback Steakhouse and Taco Bell were among other restaurants voluntarily withdrawing tomatoes from their menus, following federal recommendations that consumers avoid red plum, red Roma or round red tomatoes unless they were grown in certain states and countries.

McDonald's Corp., the world's largest hamburger chain, has stopped serving sliced tomatoes on its sandwiches as a precaution until the source of the bacterial infection is known, according to a statement Monday from spokeswoman Danya Proud. McDonald's will continue serving grape tomatoes in its salads because no problems have been linked to that variety, she said.

The source of the tomatoes responsible for the illnesses in at least 16 states has not been pinpointed. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has said at least 23 people have been hospitalized, and no deaths have been reported.

The Food and Drug Administration warned consumers in New Mexico and Texas as early as June 3 about the outbreak. The agency expanded its warning during the weekend and chains began voluntarily removing many red plum, red Roma or round red tomatoes from their shelves in response.

Tampa, Florida-based OSI Restaurant Partners LLC, which owns and operates eight brands including Outback Steakhouse, Carrabba's and Bonefish Grill, said it stopped serving all raw tomatoes other than grape tomatoes on Saturday evening. The company also instructed its restaurants to discard salsa and other prepared foods containing raw tomatoes.

Miami-based Burger King Corp. said it had withdrawn raw round red tomatoes from most of its U.S. restaurants. The company also removed the variety from all its locations in Canada and Puerto Rico and from some restaurants on other Caribbean islands.

Burger King said some California restaurants were allowed to continue using the tomatoes because they buy from growers in states the FDA has said are not involved in the outbreak.

Orlando-based Darden Restaurants, which owns and operates six brands including Red Lobster and Olive Garden, and Denver-based Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. also said they'd halted serving tomatoes, with Chipotle posting a notice to customers on its Web site that its tomato salsa is temporarily unavailable.

Taco Bell Corp. pulled tomatoes as well, the Los Angeles Times reported. Messages seeking comment were left by The Associated Press for Louisville, Kentucky-based Yum Brands Inc., which owns Taco Bell.

Bentonville, Arkansas-based Wal-Mart Stores Inc., the largest grocery seller in the United States, repeated a statement Monday that some tomatoes had been removed from its shelves. Wal-Mart initially announced the action Thursday.

The FDA is investigating the source of the outbreak, agency spokeswoman Kimberly Rawlings said.

Rawlings said the FDA's "traceback'' investigations typically look at similarities in illnesses reported to the CDC by state health officials.

Investigators work backward to find the source of the contaminated product.

Salmonella is a bacteria that lives in the intestinal tracts of humans and other animals. The bacteria are usually transmitted to humans by eating foods contaminated with animal feces.

Most infected people suffer fever, diarrhea and abdominal cramps starting 12 to 72 hours after infection. The illness tends to last four to seven days.-AP

PSD scholarships: Increasing non-bumi quota not good idea

PETALING JAYA: Increasing the quota for non-bumiputras for Public Services Department (PSD) scholarships without increasing the actual number of scholarships has drastically affected the bumiputras, the Umno Youth Education Bureau said.

Its chairman Ahmad Ikmal Ismail said while the bureau agreed with the Government to give more scholarships to non-bumiputras, it did not agree with the way it was done.

“The quota for non-bumiputras has increased from 10% to 45% but the number of total scholarships has remained at 2,000.”

Ahmad Ikmal said this meant that scholarships were being taken from the bumiputras to be given to the non-bumiputras.

“We object to this move because it now means 700 scholarships for bumiputra students are gone,” he said.

Ahmad Ikmal said a better way would be to use the New Economic Policy concept to increase the number of total scholarships so that the bumiputras were not affected and the non-bumiputras got even more opportunities.

“For example, if the 'cake' was increased to 3,000 scholarships, using a ratio of 70:30, then bumiputras would get 2,100 places while non-bumiputras would get 900 places,” he said.

Ahmad Ikmal said although it would require more money to implement, education was an investment that was needed to develop society and the country.

He added that there were also instances of well-performing bumiputra students who failed to obtain scholarships from the PSD.

Dr M quits Umno

ALOR STAR: Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad announced Monday at 12.35pm that he is quitting Umno, citing a lack of confidence in the current leadership.

He said this during a talk here on Monday.

He has been critical of his appointed successor Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, blaming the current Umno president for the party's disappointing performance in the 12th general election.

The ruling Barisan Nasional coalition, of which Umno is the largest component party, won the March 8 election with a simple majority, and saw four more states join Kelantan under Opposition rule.

Dr Mahathir urged other party members to quit too, as a way of pressuring Abdullah into vacating his post.

However, he advised those who do quit not to join any opposition party, adding they can all rejoin the party once there is a change in leadership.

Abdullah has so far refused all calls for him to step down, and said he would defend his presidency in the party polls in December.

Finally!!
2 down....couple more to go...
I'm left with one more assignment and one more exam for this week!

so nothing special happened during the weekends...
everyone was busy finishing up last minute assignments and tut work...
but...
we're still able to head to the city for meals and all =)

i think its like the 3rd week in a row we went to Chatterbox for lunch during the weekends...

i know its been a while...
sorry about that...
i've got exams and assignment due this week =(

worst of all...
japanese exam!
surprise eh?
bet most of y'all had no clue i was doing japanese in uni ahahaha!

anyway...
easter break was last week...
back in Malaysia...
i don't even know when is easter...
don't even know what is it all about..
all i know is that it has something to do with bunnies and eggs...cool eh? =p
and maybe the whole point of easter has nothing to do with bunnies at all =)

so we had a one week break...
and all i can say is...the breaks were fully utilised =p
trips to clubs, parties, casinos, karaoke, bbq...
we even played water polo in a unheated pool when the temp was like 13...

Okay okay...
i'll keep things short for this post...
this is an update which should be posted weeks ago...
the Moomba waterfest! =)
which happened.....few weeks ago =p

the whole waterfest was great...
but just one problem...
everything costs money!
any ride =.='
why can't they have like a Sunway Lagoon or Genting - all day pass to the rides?
ahahah

but what the heck...
since im all the way here...
i sat few rides here and there =)

lasted longer than malaysia...
and way better...

the 2 self-centered people who refuse to sit down and chose to block ppl's view =(

the main event was suppose to be the fireworks...
but...
all that changed when a fight took place =)

......under the bridge =)

15 mins later...
police arrived and solved the problem...

heres the scoop..

-begin-
it was suppose to be a non-alcoholic event...
but few people got drunk...
picked a fight...
so a fight broke loose among like 2 groups of 10...

here comes the funny part...
some random dude decides to join in...
he picks up a bottle..
and ran into the fight...

the 2 groups stopped hittin each other and gangs the random dude...
so it was like 20 ppl on one dude...
the dude fell..
the dude never got up..
the dude was almost dead...
guess luck was on his side when the police came minutes later...

the 2 gangs split..
but another thing happened...
another 2 random dudes decides to join the fun...
they ran towards the group of people sitting on the hill ( which was US! )
and start throwing hit-and-runs...

so they threw a punch and some guy and ran...

luck wasn't on their side though...
the police ran faster =p
took them down...cuffed them...
just like the movies LOL! =p

so we headed back few minutes later =)

So the weekend was fun...
after my first week of classes...
got party di =)

went for Benny's bbq birthday party on Friday...
had people coming up to me saying..

some of them actually went on..

it all works out in the end..

it sucks sometimes...but...
i will admit this..
its a nice way to meet more people LOL!

back in Malaysia...can go eat hotel food di..
or can like buy more than 10 plates of Wan Tan Mee!

washing sucks though!

So i was left with medical checkup on Friday to complete my Australian visa..
The clinic opens at 8.30am..
I thought reaching the place 10min before it opens would surely place me as the first patient..
or....
thats what I was hoping for...

Fear not...
Follow these simple habits which would bound to make u lose weight!

1. Eat breakfast within 30 minutes of waking.

Many people that want to shed body fat will perform their exercise first thing in the morning without some form of breakfast. They do this with the misguided belief they are tapping into fat stores and forcing their body to burn fat for fuel. This information originated many years ago from outdated research performed on obese subjects. However, effective fat loss for people that are not fat is a much trickier objective. I won’t go into the numerous physiological aspects of why it is a terrible decision for healthy people to avoid nutritional support before exercise in the morning. I will tell you that you cannot dictate the type of fuel you want your body to utilize during exercise— human physiology is far too intricately balanced.

Exercising in the fasted state (in morning, on an empty stomach) induces a tremendous amount of muscle breakdown, (along with a small amount of fat loss). This is a one-way ticket to a slower metabolism and a body that quickly learns to hoard fat, not burn it. After 7 or 8 hours of sleep your metabolism has slowed down. Breakfast kick-starts your metabolic rate and creates an instant anabolic environment within the body. To lose body fat from exercise, the correct nutritional support that preserves lean body mass must be present.

2. Increase your meal frequency without increasing total calorie intake.

Dieting (calorie restriction) slows the metabolism, as soon as you feel your fat loss results stagnate simply increase your meal frequency without increasing total calorie intake. This is achieved by dividing your daily calorie intake into more meals than you currently consume.

If you’re eating 5 meals a day, reduce the portions to create seven smaller meals. If you’re eating seven meals a day, turn them into nine. Remember, we’re not talking about increasing total calorie intake; we are merely subdividing the total daily intake into smaller meal.

3. Increase your vegetable intake.

A high intake of vegetables (high in naturally occurring fiber) is the real secret to an ultra lean body and to lose weight. The reason why vegetables are so effective to lose weight is that they provide “bulk” to the diet but add very few calories. This “tricks” the metabolism into staying elevated during calorie restriction because of the large volume of food the body has to process.

Vegetables increase satiety and keep blood sugar concentrations steady so that the muscle building, fat burning process isn't interrupted. If you want a single digit body fat percentage then a high intake of vegetables is essential.

4. Leave room in your program to increase your exercise frequency.

Exercise and eating are the only two weapons a person can utilize to stoke the metabolism. Start your fat loss program with a minimal amount of cardio exercise, then add just one short but intense cardio workout to your weekly exercise regimen and assess your progress before additional workouts are scheduled.

Gradually increasing your exercise frequency is sure-fire way to keeping your metabolism elevated for an effective way to lose weight.

5. Drink more water.

Drinking water to ensure you lose weight may sound far fetched however, I assure you there is sound physiological rational behind this strategy. Muscle and other tissues are 80% water. When muscle cells are dehydrated by only 1 or 2%, a catabolic process is triggered. A catabolic environment makes it impossible to recover and gain from training. Increasing fluid intake, particularly when accompanied by cell-volumizing nutrients such as micronized glutamine and creatine, increases muscle cell volume.

Increasing cell volume switches on anabolic process and the synthesis of new tissue within cells. The synthesis of new, lean tissue will cause an increase in metabolic rate, so drink up!

6. Up your intake of low-fat dairy foods.

A substantial amount of scientific research has accumulated over the last 4 years that supports what appears to be a very unlikely concept for effective weight loss. Dietary calcium is now thought to play a key role in the regulation of energy metabolism and whether an individual gains or loses body fat. Diets that are rich in calcium appear to prevent fat gain as well as increase fat metabolism, thereby markedly accelerating the process of shedding body fat.

7. Consume a substantial portion of your daily calories after exercise.

Vigorous or intense exercise accelerates the body’s metabolism tremendously. However, it also creates a tremendous amount of tissue breakdown. Without the correct approach to nutrition after training, a loss of lean tissue can be the end result. Losing lean tissue (muscle) slows the metabolism and this is the surest way to stagnate any attempt at fat loss.

The post workout period is an ideal “window of opportunity” for boosting the metabolism and improving body composition. Research demonstrates that nutrients consumed in the hours following a workout are shuttled directly to muscles to boost the metabolism and repair damaged tissue. Nutrient consumption in the post-workout period does not interfere with the weight loss process.

8. Don’t “live” on supplements.

Too many bodybuilders chose to live on supplements and don’t consume enough whole foods to provide optimal nutrition for building a premium body.

Calorie restriction forces the body to utilize all nutrition sources for energy production. A high intake of lean, whole proteins such as egg whites, fish, meats and poultry and vegetables stabilize blood sugar and insulin levels. This ensures that your protein supplements are directed towards muscle growth and repair and not utilized simply to provide energy.

Don't use steroids!
It'll get you nowhere!

9. Train twice a day, but only 2 or 3 days a week.

Research has shown that two 15-minute workouts performed 6-hours apart will burn more than double the amount of calories compared to a single 30-minute exercise session of the same intensity. This makes twice-a-day exercising a phenomenal tool for fat loss.

So there you have it, nine research-proven ways to rev up your metabolism and ensure you lose weight in your fat loss attempts. How many of these strategies do you currently follow?

Okay basically, I AM LEGEND was a great show.
Yes even though I spent at least half the time watching the movie with my ears closed.
You guys should know right, my policy is - I shall not pay money to scare myself in the cinema.
I AM LEGEND is not a horror show!!

There were some teary moment for the ladies...
you know when the dog died and all.

and a few disappointing moments when...

few thought Will Smith and the lady would at least kissed...

few hoped both of them to have sex..
even while the world was being infested by zombies..

Few countered the statement..
by mentioning its wrong to have sex right after the death of his dog..
and Will Smith was a family man, so it wasn't right to tarnish his image...

I only have one problem with the entire movie...
why couldn't he throw the grenade
and enter the fireplace with the lady and the kid??

he passed away in the afternoon at Subang..
while at the same time in Subang,

Today was our final day at college..
college has officially ended for us South Australian Matriculation students..
one week of study leave left..

kinda sad parting ways even though we'll be seeing each other soon..

The Malaysia government has decided to publish names and photos of sex offenders in the media. Is that move a good thing after all?

Looking at the obvious point of view, it will definitely help curb cases like the murder of young Nurin. It was not an ordinary murder case as the bastard even inserted vegetables in her. So yes, publishing names of paedophiles and sex offenders should be done. Further humiliation should be given to those people. Looking it at another point, we all should be given a chance to repent for our sins. I'll admit, the bastard that did the things to Nurin shouldn't be given the chance to live at all, but how 'bout minor offenders?

Don't get me wrong, if any person murders or rape another, they shouldn't be given any chance at all.

Minor offenders....youth...

Shouldn't they be given a chance to correct what they have done?

Shouldn't they be given a chance to lead a normal life after one simple mistake?

Must they really bear the humiliation for their entire life?

Causing one to lose hope on life....forever...
